Annette Demsey

Annette Demsey, M.A., NCTM

 

Annette holds her B.A. in Music, cum laude, from Pomona College (1987) and her M.A. in Piano Pedagogy from Eastern Michigan University (1994.) She has taught piano individually and in groups to preschoolers, children, young adults, college students, working adults and retirees and has run her own independent piano studio for nearly three decades.

Annette is recognized as a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) by the Music Teacher’s National Organization and is an active member of the Oregon Music Teachers Association, The National Federation of Music Clubs, the Mark Westcott Master Class and she frequently attends music education classes, workshops and conferences.
 

A native of California, Annette has loved living in Portland since 1988. She teaches in her Northeast Portland home, which she shares with her husband Erik and sometimes, her college-age children Grace & Owen.
